What better way to spice up a cookout than to use homemade barbecue sauce? This simple recipe gets thrown in your slow cooker and is sure to leave your guests raving about your barbecue.
Throw in 10 grams of finely ground marijuana, a little splash of water, 1/3 cup vegetable oil, 3 tablespoons finely chopped green onions, and the juice of one small lime. Let it cook on low for 90 minutes. Keep the mixture stirred so it doesn't boil. Add 3/4 cup tomato paste, 1/4 cup water, a clove minced garlic, 2 tablespoons brown sugar, 2 tablespoons cider vinegar, 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce, 1 tablespoon dijon mustard, 1 tablespoon honey, 1 tablespoon soy sauce, 1/2 tablespoon chili flakes or chili powder, a pinch of cayenne, and salt and pepper to taste. Raise heat to medium and cook for 45 more minutes or until desired consistency is reached. Keep the mixture well stirred.
The sauce can be made up to 2 weeks early as long as it's stored in an airtight container. Use about 2-3 tablespoons per person for desired results.
Mac and Cheese
Mac and cheese is the best side dish to see at a barbecue. A good homemade mac and cheese can even steal the show with its cheesy goodness. Try a cannabis-infused recipe to really kick your barbecue up a notch.
Cook pasta of choice according to package instructions. Melt 1/2 cup unsalted butter and 1/2 cup cannabis butter in a deep pan for 3-5 minutes. Slowly whisk in the flour a little at a time until 1 cup has been thoroughly mixed in. Add 4 cups of milk one at a time while continuously mixing. Mix in 1/2 teaspoon cayenne and salt and pepper to taste. Once fully combined, remove the pan from heat. Measure out 1 cup grated cheddar, 1 cup grated mozzarella, 1 cup grated swiss, and 1/2 cup parmesan. Add cheeses a little at a time and stir continuously until all cheeses are thoroughly mixed in. Grease a baking dish then add cooked pasta and cheese sauce. Sprinkle 3/4 cup bread crumbs and 1/4 cup parmesan cheese on top. Bake at 350 for 30 minutes.
